My Story

I am Dr Mark Stevenson, a broken man at the edge of the abyss.

If the master saw the entire great ocean of madness but was to afraid to step in, then I have at least dived into the dark lake of insanity.

Join me on a journey that we should not take, to the midst of the black seas of infinity, but turn off your sat nav, it listens to everything you do, you cannot trust it.

Horror, machines, humanity, identity, philosophy, lust, chemical, biological, alien, meta textual but authentic and the gnawing creeping dread, the howling maddening void at the heart of reality. It calls and we cannot help but answer.

All are welcome, new voices, the hidden voices, not heard by the great master rise in a discordant chorus, the mad song, the beats that slip between the code.

Explain nothing, but comprehend everything. There are no red pills here.

“I need the full set of figures sent through to my office, I'm not going into that board meeting without them. And get Zhang and his team in there too.” Orders were coming thick and fast, the experienced members of the team were used to it. She lengthened her stride."

Suddenly it all changed. The music was gone and it was eerily quiet. They were still naked, together and entwined in each other's arms, but now it was night, on a beach, the water was cool but not cold, but deep and very dark. The night sky was clear and three moons hung in a cold dead void. Their focus was pulled from each other and they looked as one across the endless black sea. It wasn't empty, it was so full it almost seemed to boil, to roil with life. An uncountable number of starfish, sea feathers, worms, brittle stars and other similar but unknown creatures. The whole ocean was completely full of them from depth to shore. They were different, alien. They didn't have pentaradial symmetry, each was unique like a bizarre monstrous alien snowflake. They had fractal symmetry, the lovers thought as one, minds still deeply joined in the link, but no creature on earth is like that, this place wasn't from their shared minds. The creatures all moved, and touched, writhed and wriggled and just like the two of them, they all mated together. The whole ocean was full of them, endlessly growing, reproducing and connecting. It was then they realised that in the shallow waves, where they both lay, that they were both covered in these, these unknown things. They were crawling all over them both, they were coiled over her left arm, one tendril reached up inside his nostril. They were inside her, moving, connecting, inside her, inside her down there…
