You can find the story "The Song of Kali" here

I have written another Amanda focused short story, a prequel partly set in rural India where she travels to train under her Yoga teacher, Guru Harit. Learn of the seed which was planted all those years ago, the seed that would transform her life forever.

This story was written as part of a writing competition set by A.M. Blackmere. He writes "Gothic and medieval horror— stories of dread, devotion, and the monstrous unknown." You can find his Substack here.

In the spirit of the great old master, H.P Lovecraft I have included "Professor Blackmere" as a minor character in the Three Moons Mythos. It was a pleasure to use his writing prompts that he set as part of the challenge and to help guide the story.

This tale is dedicated to all my mediation and martial arts teachers, but in particular Sifu Dr Mark Green. These people believed in my and guided me even when I had lost my way. I am eternally grateful for their support.

"Amanda strode through the little village in the Northern reaches of Maharashtra, head held high. She was a hairs breadth off six foot tall, an ex semi professional tennis player in the school and university days (which didn't take away from her studies, still got a first class degree from Beijing) and strode with power and purpose. She stuck out like a single sunflower blooming at night."
